How do I connect Alesis Drum kit. Can I use it as a 'keyboard'? My gaol is to play and record the drum kit as an instrument.

You can either record the drums from from a audio out on the module using a audio interface. Or get a midi to usb interface and record using software instruments. Or best of both worlds get a audio, midi interface and be ready for anything 😉
The USB cable is connceted OUTof Alesis & into MAc Book. However there is no signal. How do I get a signal? How do I get Alesis into SOFT WARE INSTRUMENT?
What drum module do you have?
With everything plugged in you should be able to just create a new software track and choose the drum kit you want to use.
I dont know what you mean by"Drum Module".
Should I use "MANUAL"?
The module is the part the drums plug into, also the usb to your mac.
