Q: does airplay work on a macbook pro?

i am trying to get my macbook pro to work over airplay onto my apple tv but not having much luck!!! with works fine with my iphone but not with the macbook,, is it only ios devices that work,,,please help...

i can see the airplay symbol on the bar at the top of the screen.

Yes, at play will work if your Mac meets the requirements for mirroring, which it seems to do since you have the air plate symbol at the top of your screen.

Click on the airplay symbol and you should be able to mirror your screen to your Apple TV.
