Q: How can I change full-width background color in iBooks

Hi folks,

I am able to change background color using normal HTML. However, that results in my text living in a colored rectangle that sits on a white page when rendered in iBooks. I'd like to specify the background color for the full page from edge to edge. If that is possible, I'm guessing it's an attribute that extends beyond notmal ePub XHTML. Any ideas?

Thanks and regards,

Rob

Well, no luck. I have the following suggestion for the iBooks folks at Apple: Create a meta tag something like "splashBackground" as an on/off or yes/no toggle. If it is on, then the background is splashed to fill all page area from the gutter to all edges.
