Can I upgrade my white macbook early 2009 to 8gb of ram?

I have a early 2009 white macbook with a 2ghz intel core 2 duo processer and 4gb of ddr2 ram. Could I upgrade the ram to 8gb? Just wondering. Cheers

An Early 2009 MacBook supports 6 GB of RAM. You can buy more memory at OWC or Crucial. Note that you will lose Dual Channel with 6 GB of RAM, as you won't be using RAM sticks of the same size
