my lock screen button is broken, no warranty, no insurance what can I do?

My iphone has been fine for a couple years, until recently my lock button stopped working. There is no water damage and I have not dropped the phone, its in very good condition. I do not have warranty on the phone or insurance, is there anything I can do?

iPhone 4, iOS 7.0.2

You can purchase an out of warranty replacement for $149 from Apple.

Yes. Although most likely refurbished, as they are no longer manufacturing new iPhone 4's
