Siri Slow and Not Taking Any Requests

Sometimes the Apple servers get overwhelmed. This happened quite a lot after Siri launched. Still happens from time to time. Especailly with all the new phones that hit the market.

Not acceptable. Siri has been out for far too long to still be having overwhelmed servers. If that's the problem, and I suspect the problem is actually related to iOS 7, then Apple needs to purchase more server capacity ASAP! They just brought the thing out of beta and it's worse now than it's ever been. Unfortunately, Siri is one things about the iphone that rarely "just works."

Server issues when they launch a brand new service may be understandable, but continued server issues 2 years later are not understandable. It's frustrating to go into the Google app and see how quickly and accurately it's able to take dictation and return a result. Although it doesn't have the functionality of Siri on the iPhone, the extra functionality is useless if it doesn't work over half the time.

Fix:

After trying the entire trouble shoot discussed, I finally could fix siri not taking request issue after iOS7 update. This is what I did; I just changed my wi-fi network and connected my device to another wi-fi network (my friend’s) where siri is working without any issue. My siri started taking request in the new wi-fi network and also in my network after changing back. I am not a computer guy, but hope this might help. Just try to change the wi-fi network.
