Q: iCloud Access - Old Email Address Still Assigned & Needs Changing (but it won't let me change it)

Hi all,

I used to use my internet provider email account for iCloud (Virgin Media), I then changed it over to my Yahoo email account which I thought was a good idea as I may leave Virgin and would lose access to the email account. Done that without any problems. This was on my iPhone 4s.

I've now got a iPhone 5s and went to sell my 4s to help fund my new phone. I went to carryout a factory reset to delete all in the infomration on the 4s and it keeps asking for a password as the iCloud account is still assigned to my old Virgin Media email account and not my Yahoo when I swapped it over? I have tried signing using the Virgin Media email address and iCloud tell me it doesn't exist (I have even tried password reset but the account doesn't exist).

When you go into the settings on the phone it has got my old email address and thats greyed out so I am unable to change that.

Having looked on my new iPhone that also has the same problem so I will need to switch that email address over as well but again it is greyed out so can't change it.

Can someone please advise guidance on how to change the email account over?

Hopefully I have explained the situation well.

Thanking you in advance

Matt
