iPhone 4S, iOS 7 - Battery Life...help!

I bought a new iPhone 4S 2 days ago. The guy at my phone carrier's store said that my iPhone is a "new" iPhone 4S, meaning that I got one of many newly shipped iPhone 4Ss that have been upgraded with the new update, iOS 7 (on the box, it has a picture of an iPhone with the iOS 7 update, not with the old updates/interface) so I didn't manually update to the new iOS 7 myself.

THE QUESTION IS:
Why is my battery life draining crazy fast? Battery drains down 1% every 1-2 mins. Has anyone else experienced this? I've went online and looked for tips to maximize battery life and I've followed almost all the tips. I have turned down the brightness, turned off background app refresh, bluetooth, location services etc. Is it the unit itself or the new update? Does the iPhone 4S have a bad history concerning battery life?

I'm having similar issues on my iPhone 5 during 3G usage. Standby and Wifi usage seem to be Ok, though.

Hi, on a thread similar a guy suggested to; settings>privacy>location services>system services and turn off all the unnecessary locations. Haven't tried this for long so cannot comment but it's worth a go.

Settings>Notification centre and do the same here. Bit like all the rubbish that starts up when you turn on your laptop.

Hi there! Thanks for your suggestion but I've already tried that and for some reason, with "constant use", my battery drains fast (1%/1-2 min) and I'm not sure if it's iOS 7 it not because a lot of people seem to have battery issues.

Hi there! I also noticed that my standby seems to be OK, only when I'm using my iPhone the battery is draining a lot faster :( even my 4th generation iPod had a better battery life so I hope it's not the unit itself.
