Has anyone ever encountered these types of DVDs? Seems to play fine, and the underside looks the same as a burned disc. But unable to see the files.

plays fine on a computer and settop player? If you open the disk in a new finder window are there any files visible?
Mike, I can't see your reply, but to clarify, there is only a folder name and no files within that folder. Seems to play fine on computers and standard decks with no issues.

I had a Sony recorder that made disks like the ones you describe.
