Q: IOS7 iPhone emails disappearing, are not delivered

Ever since I upgraded to IOS7 on my iPhone 4, I cannot send email. After I write the email and send it, it disappears. It does not show up in sent mail, and the intended recipient does not receive it. This happens on gmail, yahoo and aol accounts.  I can send and receive email just fine on my PC laptop. But no longer on my IOS7 iPhone. Occasionally the iPhone email is delivered hours later, but that is rare.  I have "rebooted" my iPhone, with no effect. Can I fix this?  Is it my iPhone or is it IOS7?  Can/will Apple fix this?  Anyone else have this problem?  Anyone know what I can do?

Now that I have upgraded to IOS 7.1.1 - I am having a problem (I was not before) - I can see the e-mails in preview the first time I reboot and then they willnot download afterthat.  They just keep getting stuck.  I have installed and reinstalled the email exchange.  I have completely reset everything (wiped out all the data and started from scratch) - nothing seems to work.

I think if I could figure out how to get iOS 7 back - I might be OK - but that does not seem to reset on my phone.

I will call Apple Support on Monday ... but if anyone else has problems with 7.1.1 and solutions - I would love to hear them.

My Sent emails (not all but some) are disappearing and I'm using a MacBook Air. I sync all my email (I have 4 separate accounts) and use Cox.net as my internet provider. I use Apple mail Version 7.2.

This is crazy that we're having to deal with this issue. Is there another thread that I've missed that addresses this issue for Mac desktop and MacBook users?

Hi, We have been having the same problem with disappearing emails. We have iPhone 5s with latest IOS, and use MacAirs as well as a MacPro and a MacMini. After months of frustration, we seem to have narrowed the problem to the presence of MacKeeper. We have stopped the MacKeeper processes, and deleted the application. So far it is all working. We tried this after noticing that all the vanishing emails had attachments of some kind. We suspect a bug in MacKeeper that was deleting messages rather than moving them to quarantine. If you are using MacKeeper give this a try. So far so good for us, but we won't declare success until we have been problem free for a few months.

Likewise, had a user complain of the same issue. Sent a mail but nothing received by recipient and no record of email in draft/sent/outbox anywhere. They are using latest 7.2 software ipad air.

APPLE, as you can see, we all know you have a very bad bug in the design of the email component.  Most of us here really love our Apple products, but things like this put a chink in your armor and if there are too many chinks, people will move to our products.  Please fix this or post something stating you are working on this.  I can't afford to lose my emails into nothingness.

    Thank you,

    Brian S. Cook

    Mac/Apple user since 1987

I will say that it seems to be my longer emails that are being lost...I just tested a few, and the short ones were sent and saved, but the long one went nowhere and told me there was a login problem, even though there is NOT a login problem.
