My ipod is disabeled and it wont show up on my itunes. What do i do?

I lost my ipod for a while and i just found it. During the long period of time i forgot my pass code on it. I tried calling and chatting with apple support, but i have to have the serial number to be able to. I cant get it off the ipod like it tells me to and i cant get it off of the back because it rubbed off. What do i do? i have a friend looking at it sometime but i dont know what good that will do so please somebody help me. I really want my ipod back.

Hello bshafer16

If you forgot your passcode, the only way to get it passed it is to restore it. You will need to put the iPod in disk mode and then plug it into iTunes, from there you will be able to click restore and iTunes will take care of the rest.
