Where can I find and compare carrier coverage at the Apple Store?

I was in my local Apple store looking at the new iPhones. I wanted to compare coverages between carriers in order to make the decision on what to buy. Although they had rate information for each carrier, on their "compare carrier" app on the iPads, all I could see were the AT&T maps. I would have liked to see this at the Apple store instead of relying on the carrier websites or stores as I felt like it might be less biased if I could. Has anybody else noticed this? Where can I find and compare carrier coverage at the Apple Store?

Did you try asking one of the staff member there? I'm sure they have coverage maps for the major carriers available for you to look at.

Of course I tried and don't be so sure.... they don't have printed maps, they are all built in to their iPad application and they had no answer as to why there is a huge "View Coverage Map" on only the AT&T part. I didn't just walk out and give up.

It's always a good idea to let people know everything you did try or you risk people telling you to do things you've already done.

I'd suggest doing an internet search for "compare wireless carriers" or similar. One of the hits I got on the first page was this:

You can also go to carriers' websites directly. Most will have maps that will let you put in an address or zip code to look at coverage.
