Screen flickers and goes dark when opening macbook
When I open my laptop, the screen flickers for less than a second and then goes dark. If I open and close it quite a few times, occasionally the screen will work, for hours at a time. If you shine a flashlight on it, you can see the dim desktop, so I know the computer is running. It is a 2009 macbook.
The closest apple store or retailer that would be able to fix it is 4 hours away, so I am hoping to try anything I can before taking it in.
