Is there any way to fix iTunes automatic downloads?

I have the latest version of iTunes on the latest version of Mountain Lion. I'm signed in with my Apple ID and have it set up to automatically download purchases (every box under the 'store' tab in preferences is checked), yet nothing seems to automatically download (such as new episodes of a season pass). If I click on "Check for Available Downloads" it just says that they were all downloaded. I have to go to the item and manually click on the iCloud download button to download anything that was supposed to be downloaded automatically.

I've tried signing out and signing back in with my Apple ID, but that didn't work. Any other ideas?
