iphone will connect but ipad will not to home wifi

HELP !!

(09.30.13) I loaded the new ios 7 operating system to: (1) my iPad and (2) my iPhone 5. The download went OK overall with both and no errors were indicated. ** But now I cannot connect to my home Wifi system with the iPad ... but I CAN connect to the same Wifi system with the iPhone 5! And YES, its the same Wifi system I used to download the ios 7 updates, and no changes or anything else was done to the Wifi systme after the ios 7 updates ere made. Nothing else happened or changed.

e

AND Get this -- the iPad WILL get on the internet with a FREE Wifi signal that I tried at the Apple stoire! A Wifi signal where a PW does not have to be inputted. What gives?!?!

Yes, I went to Apple store today and the iPad did get on the internet via their free Wifi signal but, they did not have a Wifi signal that required a PW to test that problem. Of course they assumed I was doing something wrong. I told them about using the same Wifi signal at my house for both ios 7 updates, and how the iPhone 5 will get on with my home Wifi PW and iPad will not.

NOTE: The Apple Store's only viable suggestion was to restore the iPad to a NEW mode and start over and then put my data back on this. I was OK with this, and went home and did just that. The full restore seemed to go OK, and it then as I continued to set it up as a new iPad, it asked me to connect to Internet to cont.

But guess what -- when I get to the place where I neeed to get online (which is very early on in setup process) I put in my home Wifi PW and it STILL WILL NOT take it! It says "Unable to Join Network" and then gives the name of my Home Network.

Mind you, during this entire ordeal, I am able to get on the SAME Wifi with my iPhone 5, my MacBook Air, and my wife's iPhone. There is something wrong and it is not allowing the iPad to take the Wifi PW and get on the Internet.

Again, all of this occurred AFTER I installed the new ios 7 software.

PLEASE HELP!

Thanks, Bobby 😕

I actually tried both of these ideas. I reset my combo router / modem more than once, and I went thru the Reset Settings on iPad before I did all the rest of this stuff. Thanks though.

Yes, Its a mystery to me! Why will it work with my iPhone 5, my wife's iPhone, my MacBook Air BUT NOT with the very iPad that was working on the same Wifi system prior to the ios 7 update, and was used successfully on the same Wifi system right before the problem was first noticed after the download of ios 7 was completed. Any other ideas anyoe?!?! Im desperate!

Thanks

Put your phone into Airplane Mode. Then, go into Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Then, reboot your router if you have access and take your phone out of Airplane Mode. You’ll be prompted to join your network again, and it should work this time.

Just had this exact same issue, only difference was my iPad Air would take the wifi password at home but would either never connect or even though it showed as connected the internet didn't work. Did exactly as described & now resolved - Mac & iPhone worked fine all along.

Thanks so much! Finally I can now enjoy my iPad!!!
