Are these just video files from your camera you've copied to your Mac? If so, just drag them to the external hard drive. That will create a copy there.

I should have been clearer. There is an app called Video Memoires that is a kind of Video Diary program. Each time you record a video diary entry, the program saves the entry. Since the entries are video and take up a lot of storage space, I want to save them to my Lacie external hard drive - preferably without losing the formatting. The formatting that the app, Video Memoires provides is great and I want to save the entries in that format.

    But I appreciate the input.

Well, I just checked their website and you could just use Time Machine or I'd suggest you contact their support as they may not follow the regular Mac OS hierarchy, so I would not be able to recommend just dragging the files over (although you could try that with one).
