I ordered mine the 20th and still dispatch October.

Sid it elsewhere but it is a bit disappointing that they had minimal stock available for launch, effectively the launched a preorder on the 20th and we have to wait for them to make them.

When I spoke to apple the guy said that they are getting stock delivered daily and will be filled on a first come basis. But keep in mind that the cork depot covers the whole of Europe not just UK and Ireland!

Store just came back up, it doesn't unfortunately. At least not for me, but my Q is probably quite long as I cancelled my order to change colour. Re-ordered on Oct 2nd.

I live in Canada and I ordered a Gold 16GB iPhone unnlocked from the apple website about 15 minutes after launch with a delivery date of "October". On Friday my order status changed to "Preparing For Shipment". At the moment, the order stutus is unchanged with no specific delivery dates, but I went on the UPS website and tracked by reference (Put your phone number into the shipment reference section and your country and postal code in) hoping it has already been shipped. It is showing that it is ready to ship from ZhengZhou, China and the scheduled delivery date is this friday, October 11th!

For UK residents: there is no point in ordering an iphone 5s from the Apple Store. Carephone Warehouse delivery any iphone 5s in 2 working days.

I have indeed cancelled my order from the useless Apple Store and placed another one from them.

Did u collected your iphone 5s this morning? I tried doing that ordered one from carphone warehouse website, they didn't accept my bank card for some stupid reason, but still took the money out my bank anyway. Anyhow I cancelled that order, as even there deliveries are not till mid October. So not sure how u managed to get yours so fast.

I have re-ordered mine from apple again as they still seem more reliable!

I ordered a gold 32GB on 24th September. Everyday up to and including today it has said "Dispatched: October". Desperately want it to change- really wanted to get it before the 19th. I ordered from the apple store because I want the SIM free phone, and was going to go on a 30 day rolling contratc with Three thereafter.

However, AppleMaximus said "Just to let people know in the UK now the iPhone 5S Gold 32Gb says "preparing for shipment- I ordered mine on the 20th of September", and he/she wrote that yesterday... But mine doesn't say this 😟 That was ordered 4 days before mine though, so hopefully in 3 days from now, my order status will be "preparing for shipment". It's soooo hard to wait! Haha. I have some lovely cases ready to dress my phone in!! Lol.

That's assuming you don't want a SIM/contract free phone right?

You're right, though I went into a store the other day and it seems SIM free are still hard to get hold of and when you do there's a £50 privilege to pay for it.

Me too! lol I got rid of my last cell phone and cell account 14 years ago and here I will going nuts waiting got this silly 5S phone. I orderd 9-20 and here it is 10-6. sheesh...........lol It seems longer than 14 years already. 😝

Apple Store are delivering my iphone 5s on Wednesday bang on track as stated. If you get a phone from Carphone Warehouse then it is unlocked until you put your sim in it. From Apple it stays unlocked.

I'm in the US and same here buddy still processing I'm so impatient right now

As an update to my shipment tracking, no new information provided from UPS yet. Hopefully on Monday this will change. I opted for the 2-3 delivery (iPhone 5s gold 16gb unlocked) so there is a possibility it could be delivered to me on Tuesday instead of Wednesday, unless my package is going to get routed to Louisville, KY first, then to San Diego, CA. UPS plane either left China on Saturday or Sunday. If this is the case, it could have been routed to KY already on Sunday or would be on Monday.

Did someone ordered on 21st Sept and got an update? I ordered on 21st Sept and haven't got an update yet. Have been very long waiting

The 1st iphone went out on June 29, 2007 and after 6 years they keep making mistakes knowing the huge worldwide demand of iphones.

I am pretty sure that the Marketing department has a very good reason that explain why they keep having these issue after 7 years of iphones.

Instead of launching the new iphone on the 20th of Semptember they could wait the 20th of October to have millions of iphones "ready to be shipped" instead "ready to be built" letting millions of people waiting for something that will arrive "some random day at some random time in October".

I am sure that many of you will reply something like "oh this is all strategy to generate a big hype so people desire even more every iphone they make". To me is just "oh their Marketing department is so dumb that they are not even able to avoid those basic mistakes after 7 years".

Anyway, at the end of the day, Apple will always win and people will be ready to wait for months/years to have the next-new-amazing-super-gorgeous-blablabla... iphone.
