Q: my 3 year old has made purchases i did not know about, help?

I have just recieved my invoice and was expecting it to be about £3 as i purchased little one some upgrades on a car wash app. Shocked to find its £13 and purchases that i did not authorise!! how has this happened and what do i do??

    You can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will refund or credit you : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

     

    If they are in-app purchases on a device then you can turn them off on it via Settings > General > Restrictions > In-App Purchases 'off' - and, depending upon the iOS version on it, you might have a Require Password setting on the Restrictions screen which you can set to 'Immediately' (the default is a 15 minute period during which it doesn't need re-entering.

     

    If the purchases were done on your computer's iTunes then the same 15 minute period for passwords applies, but you can log out of your account via the Store > Sign Out menu option.
