Why do I get Apps updates more than once?

I periodically go to the Apple store and check for updates. If there are any I download and install them. A few days later the same updates (except for OS X updates) will reappear waiting to be downloaded and installed. This may happen again.

How can I fix this?

iPad 2, iOS 6.1.3

If you're having problems with the App Store you might try this:

1 - enable the Debug menu in App Store:

  • open the Terminal application.

  • copy the command below and paste into the Terminal window:

defaults write com.apple.appstore ShowDebugMenu -bool true

followed by Enter.

  • launch App Store, login.

2 - select the Debug ➙ Reset Application option:

User uploaded file

3 - see if those updates are still listed.
