I cant get airplay icon to appear on Iphone or ipad- just installed new apple tv

Hi I have just installed new apple tv and cant get airplay icon to appear on my iphone or ipad- i have updated everything so no idea what i have doen wrong-please help?

Thanks I have tried all the airplay troubleshooting but not working am trying on ohone and ipad- my phone worked with a friends last week so no sure what going on

Have you tried contacting your ISP, assuming they provided your router.
