I'm frustrated with getting white blurry pics when taking photos with the flash on iphone 4S. Does any one else have this problem? I do not have my fingers in the way and I am not using a thick case. There are no shadows just white light instead of a photo.

Is this a new phone or have you had it a while?
I have had it for 3 months. It works great without the flash but ghost-like with the flash. I've read differnet things on the discussion boards but none apply. It appears to be an apple glitch. Do you think the new IOS7 will fix it?
Wait you have iOS 6?
If you have iOS 6 then I think that upgrading to iOS 7 should be done to try to fix it, honestly eventually as an apple user you're going to be running into iOS 7 eventually and most of the "glitches" people are complaining about are minor or can be mitigated until a patch comes out some time next week.

Do you have your phone in a case? If so, does the cut out for the lens/flash have a white border? If yes, take a black sharpie and color the border black.
I had the same problem and it was caused by the lens cut out in the case.
Try taking the case off and see if it makes a difference.

You were right! The case I has was silver and clearly the flash was reflecting on the silver case. I put the phone back in it's old case and no more white photos! Thank you so much.
My next problem is that when I first go to camera the screen is blurry for several seconds before it focuses. My hands re not shaking. It also does this when someone calls me and I swipe to answer. I've only had this since the upgrade to IOS7. Has anyone else had this problem?
I dont think thats a problem. iOS 7 uses transparency to add depth. This is most likely the 'blurred' effect you are seeing.
