I ask for help I had got a used Ipad from someone they didn't give me the passcode so I can reset everything. I don't have the last computer it had been synced on or the passwords for the store nor do I know how to change the email adresses. So does anyone know how to reset the passcode on an ipad with no computer or have it been synced on itunes.

Plug into iTunes on any computer.

Hold down the sleep wake button until the Apple logo appears.

Don't let go of the sleep wake button and press and hold the home button as well. Do this until the Apple logo disappears.

Now let go of the sleep wake button but keep your finger on the home button for a few more seconds. The device should go in a mode that will enable you to restore it.

Before you try that (DFU mode), you might want to simply try recovery mode.

Turn the device off.

Hold the home button down while plugging it into iTunes.
