Trying to search for songs to download but can't find a search box! Can anyone help?
It's not on the control bar or anywhere else for me with this new version (just updated last week). No search bar at all on the page, in the control bar, etc., and it now looks nothing like the screenshot you posted, so I'm in the same boat as the original poster.
I am having same problem. No search bar anywhere on iTunes. I have looked at numerous posts. What's the problem. Seems like everything with Apple is getting harder. The iOS update has been a nightmare on our iPhones...errrr.
Ok everyone. After searching for a bit, I found the solution that worked for me. I am using a MacBook Air and had to enter full screen mode. And voila, there it was in the upper right hand corner as promised.

I just resolved this issue by doing the following (Please read the entire post before performing):
Quit iTunes
Open Finder and click Go > Go to Folder... (or press Shift-Command-G)
Type the following (or copy and paste) and press return:
~/Music/iTunes
Move the file "iTunes Library.itl" to Trash. DO NOT empty Trash yet (because if this does not resolve the issue, you will want to put this back)
Relaunch iTunes and see if you now have the top bar in iTunes, including the search bar in the top-left.
NOTE: Removing the iTunes Library.itl file can cause you to lose Playlists, and even cause your music on disk to be unrecognized. It is highly recommended that you back up with Time Machine before performing this task.
If you know where your music is on disk (most likely still somewhere withing that iTunes folder, possibly just in iTunes Music instead of iTunes Media) you can still drag this music back into iTunes for it to reorganize and recognize the music. There is not much you can do about Playlists other than manually recreating them or quitting iTunes and putting back the iTunes Library.itl file.

It's NOT in the page... It's in the "control" bar at the top, where the iTunes Library search is, it switches to Store search once you open the store.

Yeah, I've spent half an hour trying to figure out where the ****** search box is and no luck. Giving up.
I can't search itunes on my iphone 5s. Does anyone know why and what I can do to fix this?
I had the same problem. Powered by phone off, then on again and the search bar appeared where it had always been. Hope this helps!
