How do i open a .sit file!!!

i have recently upgraded to 10.4.6 and it does'nt seem to understand .sit files ???

why is this should that sort of thing be backwards compatable?

do i need to get stuff it expander again?

is'nt there a 10.4.6 equivilent?

Hello,

Yes, you need Stuffit Expander to extract SIT files.

OS X 10.4.x does not include Stuffit Expander with it's installation. It used to be included with older versions of the Mac OS, but Apple quit installing it automatically.
