Certain sound of cinematic drums! (Toms)

Hello again:),

after my last question i started using he EXS24 kit, and tried to get soem epic drums, but i still can`t find a good one. I tried effects like Echo, Compressor and SilverVerb, so the "style" and the "atmosphere" of the Toms are getting close, its just the right sounds for which i am still searching. I want to give you another example of what kind of drum i am searching for. This is some Harry Potter Soundtrack. Straight at the beginning you can here 4 "beats" of drums. The first one, i`m pretty sure, is a Timpani, and the Logic Timpani gets quiet close, but then after the first beat you can here 2 more beats. I think it is some kind of Toms, but it still sounds like a mix with other drums.

You will struggle to get those sounds in Logic with the built in Logic sounds/instruments though you will get approximations. If you want that real blockbuster drum sound look at Storm Drum 3 or even 2 if you can stil get it somewhere http://www.soundsonline.com/SD3. There are quite a few other options depending on budget etc Something like this might be what you are looking for http://cinesamples.com/products/drums-of-war/

Best bet is to do some searching on Google and find the plug ins/sample libs that work for you.

Dude... you are such a noob. The first sound is orchestral bass drum, not timpani. The following sounds are likely a mix of many drums, the most prominent being taiko. You will need to acquire third-party libraries that are more professional than Logic Pro default sounds, such as "Cinetoms", "Drums of War" by Cinesamples, or "True Strike", if you want to sound like a pro.
