Lost receipt but serial number is still under warranty

My wife's Ipad 2 has started showing backlight bleeding. We could no longer find the receipt of purchase. i went online and it showed that the serial number is still under warranty until October 29. We live in Manila and the ipad was bought in Apple Center SM North Edsa Annex. Can I avail of the warranty despite not having the proof of purchase or the receipt?

Anyone from Manila who experienced this in the past?
