I have downloaded the latest iTunes version and the latest IOS onto iPad and yet when i attach to my PC it doesn't open iTunes automatically and when i open iTunes I can't see my iPad. Instead Windows 8 (the worst software in the world!) opens my photo library. Why is this happening? Please help!

well to stop photo from opening auto see

as far as itunes not seeing device
try different cable, different, port, restart pc, remove any other usb devices. pause your security software ier, mcfee, ect...
