I've made books in Aperture for the past 2 years, but this time when I hit the preview book button, it acted like it was assembling the book, but then didn't. It quit after I tried it again. This happened with a book I've printed many times before, too. Any ideas about why?

Have you added any new images to the book? If yes, remove them, and try again. Perhaps you added a photo, that cannot be processed.
If the book is unchanged, try, if reairing your Aperture library will help.
Repair your Aperture library using the Aperture Library First Aid Tools: Hold down both keys ⌥⌘ together firmly, and continue to hold them down, while you are double clicking the library icon, until you are seeing the First Aid panel. Select "Repair Database". This may take a while for a large library.
