Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
When I connect my new Macbook pro retina to my new 27" Thunderbolt, the Thunderbolt Display flickers a few times then goes black. I have tried unplugging everything and replugging. All software is up to date. Super disappointing. Can anyone help?!

A brand new display is under warranty. Call Apple Care.
Update: I am aware it's under warranty, was hoping to troubleshoot myself first, but no dice. Talked to Apple for over an hour while we worked through resetting PRAM, etc. Nothing works so I have to go to Genius Bar. I'm guessing I'll be getting a new display.
I worked through all the suggested software "fixes" with partial success (lower frequency of failure) finally swapped out monitor with apple. Problem seems to be solved. THis problem is floating around through these discussion boards. Apple was very good about the swap; they know there's a problem with a few of these units, I think. If you're reading this, don't fool around too much. bite the bullet and swap it out...
