Q: privilege to make changes on iphone

The first time this has occurred today. When I synd my iPhone 5 to my mac book pro, i get error. "the iphone cannot be synced. you do not have the privledge to make changes".

Was not making any changes. only wanted to sync.

Nothing has changed on phone or macbook

any help is welcomed.

Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.4), Safari 5.0

I'm now having this problem as well. I didn't have any issues until all the upgrades. Upgrade your iOS. Upgrade iTunes. I'm about ready to upgrade to a new OS altogether as I've had nothing but problems with my iDevices in the past 3 months.

I have checked my permissions. They are fine. I am logged in as the administrator. My iTunes is not on an external hard drive. I have shut everything down. twice. I'm still getting this error.

Anyone have any advice?
