have a new epson 3880 but can not print from aperture. It double prints, too dark, been on line for 6 hours looking for a solution. About to give up on the printer and aperture both. Please help

It can work. It's what I use.
It's neither easy nor straightforward.
Have you downloaded and installed the newest Epson drivers? And rebooted?
Do the Epson test prints look right?
Can you print from other apps?
What settings are you using in Aperture's print dialog? Be specific. Need the _entire_ information re: paper size (e.g.: "US Letter➞US Letter (Manual - Rear)".
What paper are you using? Are you using a profile with it? Where did you get the profile?
Where are you feeding he paper into the printer?
Have you seen any error messages? What did they say?
I have no idea what's not working, but I'm confident we'll figure this one out. I'll even venture that you'll be happy when we do -- it's a fantastic printer (at least for matte, which is all I do).
