iOS 7 Simulator behind proxy

Weird problem with the Xcode's iOS 7 Simulator.

I'm trying to test some web pages under Mobile Safari on that Simulator. I'm at work and our internet access is behind an auto-configured proxy.

It works fine for Safari on the Mac itself.

I works fine for Mobile Safari on XCode's iOS 6.1 Simulator.

It does not work for Mobile Safari on the XCode's iOS 7.0 Simulator; yes, on the same Macbook. The iOS 7 Simulator keeps telling me that my credentials are wrong. I do a Reset Configuration from the Simulator menu, and the Simulator does prompt me to enter my proxy ID and password again, but then I get the same message about my credentials being wrong. I've done this multiple times, so I'm sure that I'm entering them correctly.

What might cause the iOS 7 Simulator to do this when the 6.1 version works fine? There's no network settings to change in the Preferences on the Simulator itself.

I have the same issue, in that whenever I reset my iOS7 simulator I am asked for proxy username and password. When I enter them then I can connect to internet ok. However if I reset the ios7 simulator again I am again prompted for my username and password.

This is not the case with the ios6.x simulators which correctly read the system proxy settings and do not prompt for username and password.

This is a big problem for us as it means I can run my automation on ios7 simulators.
