Cloud with red download arrow - Importing videos

Firstly, I can't find any tutorials or articles anywhere about what this 'cloud with the red download arrow means' next to all my songs and videos on my iphone. I have concluded that all the names of songs on my iphone are songs that are on my itunes account but are not all of them are physically on my iphone. When I click the cloud it then downloads the ones that were not on my phone to my icloud, so I can listen to them... is this correct??!

Secondly, I have imported some home videos in to my itunes library using my macbook. These are not showing up at all on my iphone. Is there a solution?
