Q: Why can't I delete old podcasts?

Why can't I delete old podcasts?  There are hugh lists of podcasts I have listened to AND DELETED a long time ago and now they clog up my podcast lists.  The ones I cannot delete have a cloud symbol next to them...This new version really *****!
