Q: Mac Mini with Lion Server drops out and host server becomes unavailable
After the server has been idle a message saying interruption to network appears. The server disconnects. When attempting to reconnect via command K the error message "The server may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check the server name or IP address, check your network connection, and then try again." appears and we are unable to connect. Tried pinging and the return is "no host available". Only way to fix is to reset the studio router. The mac mini server is connected to the router via ethernet and other mac devices connect to via afp over wireless. We have to now do this every day.
There are 5 other computers using the router network but not our server IP address. We would love your help! Thank you in advance.
We have a MacMini 2013 with Lion Server. 2013 iMac and MacBook Pro connecting via wireless to Server.
MAC MINI SERVER (LATE 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)
