1) ON your iPhone/iPad: Go to Settings: iTunes & App Store.

Tap on your Apple ID, Sign Out, iTunes Match will be off.

2) On your iPhone/iPad go to Settings: Music: Look at the iTunes Match slider, it should be off.

If not, turn it off.

3) On your Mac/PC in iTunes, go Store (in the file menu bar above) and tap Sign Out.

4) Restart your iPhone/iPad by pressing the Home Button and the Sleep/Wake button (at the top) at the same time until the Apple icon appears.

Hold it for about 10-20 seconds until the Apple icon appears again.

5) Go back to your Mac/PC in iTunes, go Store (in the file menu bar above) and Sign In, Turn On iTunes Match, and wait for it to complete.

6) Go to settings on your iPhone, tap iTunes & App Store. Sign In with your Apple ID and password, turn on iTunes Match Slider.

Tap ENABLE.

7) Switch SHOW ALL Music to be ON.

8) Next go to Settings, tap on Music, the iTunes Match slider should be on.

If not, turn it on.

9) Finally, go into the Music App on your iPhone/iPad. Loading iTunes Match will start processing with a Blue Line, matching your iTunes Library.

Hope this helps!

Sorry, but the "fix" you supplied was only temporary for me. After getting a clean setup with my iPhone 5s in total sync with iTunes on my Mac Mini, I added 4 newly purchased songs to an existing playlist that was in sync.

Once I did that, all the old troubles re-emerged:

1) Duplicate Songs - 1 downloaded, 1 in iCloud Status

2) Corrupted song titles/artist/cover art - i.e. the song listed has one title, the actual song file is for something else

3) iCloud status songs refuse to download

4) Playlists mysteriously add/drop songs, some not even from the playlist on the Mac Mini

5) Downloaded songs fluctuating between showing downloaded and then appearing as iCloud

6) Playlist jitters or bounces up and down on screen

In another discussion, it was mentioned that Apple engineers are aware of the problem with iTunes Match, so hopefully a fix is in the works soon.

I finally got mine working after 2 - 3 days. I simply did a Restore All. Of course, I backed up my phone in iTunes and then hit Restore iPhone in iTunes. My music in iTunes Match are all in my phone now. I'm glad that with all of my stuff in iCloud it is much easier to just restore the iPhone. I have 32 GB 5s, in case anyone's curious. Thank you for your suggestion though, DirkWestera.

THANK YOU!!

While I am also unsure what this "fix" is for, it resolved a problem I have had for months with iTunes and the Music app in iOS7. I have about 4,500 songs in my iTunes library and before buying my iPhone 5S I had a Samsung Android phone. Google music worked PERFECTLY and would always add anything from iTunes to it's library without a second thought.

However, after I setup my iPhone and got used to iOS7 I realized the Music app was only showing about 1/3 of my music. I turned off iTunes Match, I turned it on, I reset my phone, I tried everything. My iPod Mini and iPhone would only show a portion of my iTunes library even when a cloud icon was next to a song.

I ended up downloading and using a Google Music App for iPhone which (here we go) could see all of my music. However, it drove me crazy that I had to use this 3rd party app when Apple and iOS7 should have worked and showed me every song I owned.

Well, after weeks of searching online for a solution on a whim I used the one above just to see if it had any effect. Sure enough, IT WORKED. How it worked, I have no idea. What was wrong, I have no idea. But within a few minutes ALL of my iTunes library is now visable on my iPad and iPhone using the proper iOS7 app and I was able to delete the 3rd party one.

Amen!

Thank you, worked like a charm on my iPhone 5s.

P.S.: Not shure who Michael Allbrittonis, as he lives "Directly above the center of the Earth!". True, iTunes Match does take place between your PC's or Mac's iTunes library and Apple iTunes servers but the settings are called the same on an iPhone and are the only way to access your music on an iPhone with iTunes Match enabled.

Your solution re-establishes the communication between Apple's iTunes servers and your iPhone.
