Great to hear Apple has recognized this as an issue. What a pain!

Nov 30, 2013 11:52 PM in response to turfstufby mascotca,Would this bug also be responsible for the fact that both my Instapaper & Pinboard bookmarklets in Safari KEEP asking for my login credentials every 10 minutes?!

Dec 4, 2013 3:59 AM in response to mascotcaby Solarc,I have a iPhone 5s too and I can't seem to duplicate the problem there. On my iPad mini I can every time. I will not say that it does not exist because I don't multi-task on my phone that much, mainly the iPad.

Dec 4, 2013 6:46 AM in response to Bardzoby rick7,Hi, I've been on the older thread dealing with this issue and am here viewing this thread for the first time. (Is there a way to combine our two threads so we're not duplicating our efforts?) I just read Barzo's excellent comment here from Nov. 21. Barzo, I agree with you 100%. It's crazy and even slightly suspicious that Apple would ask its users to reproduce this problem and send in logs, as if it's some sort of esoteric and difficult-to-reproduce problem. It's so easy to reproduce it's ridiculous. Anyone can do it - it's there for any iPad or iPhone user to see for himself, though possibly it happens less with the latest models. And in that regard you're entirely right that it should be considered a botched feature rather than a bug. When I spoke to someone at the Apple Store Genius Bar about our problem a few weeks ago and he said it was "working as designed," I was initially irritated as that phrase is the classical cop-out of IT support personnel. But now I realize he was being completely truthful. It's much worse than a bug. There's no bad coding here or coding that doesn't consider all circumstances; the problem seems instead to be the consequence of a badly thought-out design. If indeed it was done to save battery life, how about a switch in Settings so a user can decide whether or not he wants to save a bit of battery life and have all his apps reset when switching back to them?

Dec 10, 2013 9:13 AM in response to mascotcaby ERSinclair,@mascotca - Yes, this bug is exactly what is causing your web page to ask for your login credentials every time it refreshes.

Dec 10, 2013 2:19 PM in response to Solarcby Tulkinghorn,Have had this same issue. It has not been fixed with any of the iOS 7 updates so far (I currently have the latest one--7.0.4--installed). This is driving me nuts, along with Safari constantly crashing when you are actually browsing in it at the time.

Jan 19, 2014 1:09 PM in response to Solarcby dfeivelson,Still having same issue on iPhone 4S running iOS 7.0.4... **** you apple for still not fixing this garbage.

Jan 19, 2014 6:08 PM in response to Solarcby Scanerack,Yeah seems to have gone all quiet on the update front!
This is a real royal pain in the *** and the fact that nothing has been done about it in all this time is nothing short of diabolical!
I actually got a call from Apple to assist with this issue and send them error logs, looks like they went right to the recycle bin!
Come on Apple, play the game!!!

Jan 25, 2014 2:19 AM in response to Solarcby Pauldumitru,What could we do to break through apple's walls with this issue? It's really a big thing and no super-reviewing-website seems to put the ginger on it. Only small improvements like app icon colors, while the whole usability experience is suffering because of this!
How can we file this problem to Apple and get heard?

Jan 26, 2014 6:19 PM in response to Solarcby EddiieDingle,This issue has made my ipad 2 almost unusable anymore. Not really eve trying to do to much, just go between a document or book and a note taking app. It seemed ok for a short time following a restart.
Only started after a recent update I did. I guess I had held off for a while after reading this thread and seeing all the others wih the issue.

Jan 26, 2014 8:29 PM in response to Solarcby ERSinclair,Someone had suggested Google Chrome as a workaround for the problems this is causing with Safari so I installed it today. It's not working as I would have expected. Seems like it has the same problems as Safari but I have not fully tested it. I sure wish I had a version 6 device to use to test stuff on.
