Q: Ios 7 apps refresh

Why is it when I am multi-tasking between apps that when going back to an app like safari the page will reload. I was checking out on a web page shopping cart and went to my email for a second and when I came back to safari by double click home button and select safari the page refreshed and I had to start over with the purchase. This also happens when just visiting standard pages.  I have ios 7.02 11a501.

I have noticed others apps doing the same type thing such as Dropbox. When viewing a PDF switch between apps and back the PDF will reload and you are returned to the top of the document. Please help!

Mac mini (Mid 2011), iOS 7.0.2, 11a501

Just want to add my voice to the discussion.  This is a huge problem for me. I often use Google Drive to take notes, occasionally copying excerpts from web pages or papers in Good Reader.  The incessant automatic refreshing of apps kills productivity and makes multitasking almost worthless.  Please fix this Apple!  I have too much invested in you to switch to Android....

Go to Settings, Safari, open links, and select "in background" instead of "in new page." This works like a charm for me.

I have solution for iPad, not sure about iPhone :-) easier than you thought guys!

Push home button twice to multitask screen, hold on screen of each app with two fingers while sliding downward then upward to the top part of your iPad (to swipe away the app-screen)

let me know if this work. I could get out of dark-screen craigslist app just 2 mins ago...thanks Solarc for mentioning about "multitask screen" and "second space" that I didn't understand and didn't do any help but inspired me to find my solution!! Yay!

Not sure if anyone is still following this thread, but I am having this same problem still on my brand new 6S. Luckily the processor is fast enough that it doesn't have the same awkward 3-second lag when switching apps reset like my 4S did, but it's still really annoying when the apps reset.
