Oct 3, 2013 7:26 PM in response to imgarrettby Grant Bennet-Alder,TRIM is only supported by Apple on Apple-brand SSD devices.
It may take SATA-3 interfaces to quiet down the TRIM situation. The Mac Pro looks set to skip SATA-3 and go straight to the PCIe Bus for the new Mac Pro.

Oct 3, 2013 9:12 PM in response to imgarrettby Grant Bennet-Alder,Apple RAID drives are RAID drives because a RAID Driver is written to the drive. You can remove those drives, shuffle them, and re-install them in a different Mac and they will still be a RAID and operate properly.
Windoze does not acknowledge the existence of "other" Operating Systems. Apple RAIDs do not work in Windoze. And since the drives contain RAID Drivers, the drives do not act as non-RAID Drives in any OS.

Oct 4, 2013 6:20 AM in response to imgarrettby The hatter,The ODD ports are not enabled or visible. Whether anyone has found a way, I doubt it, as it would have to be for this particular Intel motherboard and chipset. And those were not for Apple version of Mac Pro.
Want an array, find a PCIe controller that also does not need to be reflashed or disconnected switching platforms.
