I need to upgrade my PowerBook G4 10.5.8 (as it is no longer supported by Mac/applications) but looking at the 10.6 specifications an Intel processor is required - so, Can I Upgrade?
I love this machine it works so well and has done for so long, gutted if it has to go to waste...please help =)

Sorry... No. OS X 10.5.8 is the end of the Line for your PPC Mac.

Sadly you can't upgrade the processor. The highest Mac OS X for you powerbook is Mac OS X 10.5.8
It will never go any higher. You would need to buy a new or replacement laptop something like a MacBook or MacBook Pro.
