Installed iOS7 on my ipad2. Selected a photo from my album. Attempted to resize photo by pinching to shrink it to fit wallpaper. Photo springs back to large size. Photo resizing will not retain reduced size.
iPad 2, iOS 7.0.2
Go in through your photos app. Choose the image you want to be wallpaper and tap on the little arrow poking out of a box. THat opens the 'send to' dialogue and choose wallpaper. You can now do some scaling and moving. It's not perfect but you have more control than you do through the settings panel.
Thank you Skydiver119 for your input. It would appear that even with your suggestion, I did not have much luck. Every time I attempt to pinch the photograph smaller to fit the wallpaper perimeters, to springs back to full size. Most frustrating. I can only hope that Apple will address this shortly with their next update. Thank again.
Having the exact same problem with my mum's ipad 2. she just updated to ios7, now when she trys to change the background pic, it's really zoomed in and you can't resize, just springs back. hope for an update soon!
Do as above, access your pic via the photos app, then send it to wall paper. It can at least make it less worse until Apple fixes it.
Turn off ios 7 parallax. You should then be able to resize OK.
Access General Settings, and then select Accessibility. Here there is an option called Reduce Motion, select that and turn on the little switch. This will disable Parallax
Good point, however, it still does not totaly resolve the problem. iOS6 did a much better job at resizing wallpaper. iOS7 falls short on this, even after their latest update.
Installed iOS7 on my iPad2. Wallpaper selection issues now surface after new iOS installation.
