Q: iBooks

Hi,I just inherited my moms iPad and set it up with my Apple ID. I got the iBook app,and see all her books,but have to put in my id to download any,how can I get rid of her books.

    Hello Pasberry,

     

    Congratulations on your new iPad!  It sounds like you are still seeing your mom's purchased books from iTunes in iBooks.

     

    If the books have a tiny cloud icon in the upper right corner, these are on iTunes in the Cloud and may require the purchaser's password to download them.  You can sign in with your Apple ID in the iTunes and App Store so that her purchases from iTunes in the Cloud no longer appear:

     

    Changing your Apple ID account

    Tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores, then tap the Apple ID signed in.

    Sign out of the current Apple ID account and then sign in with another account or create a new Apple ID.

    After changing the signed in Apple ID, the iTunes in the Cloud purchases should be gone from iBooks, and any remaining books can be deleted by tapping the Edit button.
