Nelson May logic pro 9.1.8 won't upgrade to logic 9.0.2 - any takers

I have had this post sitting on Apple's discussion forums for 2 weeks now and don't have an answer I hope someone can help.

I have ML that is up to date and logic studio 9.1.8. When I try to run 9.1.8 (1700.67) (64-bit) I get to a splash screen that says "Searching for Audio Unit plug-ins (Apple:AUNetReceive).....and I have the spinning beachball of the death. I have to use force quit the app.

I downloaded the 9.0.2 update and the installer tells me that I dont need the update.

Anything going on here?

I have logic studio installed if this helps.

Logic Pro 9.0.2 is older than Logic Pro 9.1.8, that wouldn't work as an "update". You should however update to 10.8.4 or later. BUt for your issue you might want to try to delete the "com.apple.audiounits.cache" inside ~/Library/Caches.
