I've tried everything and it's still not free! I was really looking forward to it... So pls help!

So there is no way I can get the iWork apps for free even if I'm updated to IOS 7? What if I erased the memory and started as a fresh device?

So basically the people who bought their apple device before even if it is the latest version cannot get iWork for free even if u erase the device and start over. Right?

That's correct. Erasing or starting over won't make anything magical happen. The free iWork package applies only to those devices that were *activated* with Apple starting Sep 1, 2013.

I bought the iphone 5s so it let me download iworks to my ipad 3rd generation as well.
