cannot connect to itunes store

I have an ipod touch ist generation and cannot connect to itunes store. Software has been updated.

IPOD Touch 1st generation-OTHER, iOS 1.x

I'm very new to this. My IPOD Touch setttings shows that the Version is 1.1.5 (4B1). I assume that's the software version?


I followed your link and to update the software. I updated my acct with a credit card and paid the $4.95. I tried 3 times to download it and had an Internect connection problem. Any ideas of how to fix that? I do have a DSL line and have easily downloaded other software.
