It sounds like your iPhone is not appearing in iTunes. I recommend following the steps in this article to resolve the issue:

Oct 5, 2013 8:39 AM in response to sheila_m.by kiran246,I am having the simular problem. I have a iphone 4S, since i updated to IOS 7 i cannot connect to itunes all of a sudden. I get the mesaage to trust my laptop, i click trust and still nothing. My laptop has USB 3.0 ports, that could be the reason, but i never had this issue with IOS 6. My computer reads it fine, i am able to access the photo's and everything like usual.
Please help, i have tried every single troubleshooting instruction there is, NOTHING is working
