should i leave personal hotspot off totally when do i need it

is it wise to leave personal hotspot on all the time or should it always be turned off have seen it can add additional charges

Rather than additional charges, I always only use it when I need it because of the use of battery. But in short yes, is a good idea to have it disabled except for when you are going to use it.
