Q: how do i mirror without using apple TV .....like the old OS platform where I just plug in the HDMI cable and it recognizes the i pad and then projects it onto the TV.

I do NOT want to use Apple TV only a cable.

I spent 59 minutes with APPLE tonight and they were useless.

iPad 2, iOS 7.0.2
