Q: rental lost

Hello, I rented a movie approx 2.5 wks ago in order to view in secluded area on vacation, however it failed to open as it was not authorized. I don`t know why, but I remember downloading an update for my Ipad prior to trying to view film. Did this illiminate my viewing...? Can you restore and or reimburse me for the film? Michel Dubuc
