Hi Melissa,

In a document based upon a Word Processing Template, running heads are the default until you insert a Section Break.

The Header is there. Hover the cursor over the top of the page until you see a Header box. Or, turn on Show Layout (View > Show Layout).

If your document is based upon a Page Layout Template, you must turn Headers (and/or Footers) on in

Inspector > Document tab > Document button.

Again, hover the cursor or choose Show Layout to see Headers and Footers.

Insert page numbers into a Header or Footer (or a Text Box) with Menu > Insert > Page number.

In OS X (for Mac) the Inspector is your friend. Get to know it.

Regards,

Ian.
